Introducing Verza: The operating system for the creator economy

Creators can use Verza’s Business Suite, which makes it easy to manage invoices and automate follow-ups. That means getting paid in 14 days instead of 60-90 days. Influencer agencies, meanwhile, can manage rosters and contracts on behalf of talent, with automatic payment splitting and invoicing.
"We think the future of the creator economy is one where an operating system can actually help both brands and creators interact and create new experiences for their audiences," Serge explains.
Serge’s journey to Verza
Serge was born in Togo and moved to the US at the age of 12. First settling in Maryland, Serge soon moved to DC, Birmingham, and later San Francisco.
A self-taught software engineer, Serge launched his first business, a social media marketing agency, at 16. By 21, he’d exited the business and dropped out of college, and has been building businesses ever since.
His founder journey soon led him to launch Datatrixs, an AI-powered financial intelligence platform built to help accountants and CPAs automate tax filing and advisor reporting. As customers began using the platform to manage creator finances, Serge noticed that most creators were spending an enormous amount of time organizing scattered, inconsistent income data.
The same pains he'd felt as an agency founder—delayed payments and disorganized financials—were hitting the creator economy. "We'd built a full stack for Datatrixs," Serge realized. “This should be its own thing that solves the problem for creators."
Serge built the first version of Verza in a couple of weeks and began showing it to creator friends. When they said they’d be willing to put a credit card down for the platform, he knew he was on to something.
Since launching just one year ago, Verza already has 1,000+ verified creators on the platform, is partnering with major brands such as the Center for AI Safety, and is supporting payouts across 45+ countries.
Serge’s advice for fellow founders
In the age of AI, “speed is the name of the game,” Serge says. Many founders start with a grand vision, he explains, but it’s the market that determines whether a company survives. If customers aren't coming, throw away your vision and pivot to building what customers actually need.
And as you’re getting initial traction, focus on paying customers, not “sweet nothings,” as Serge puts it. “If customers won’t sign that check or contract to commit, they’re not serious. You have to pick up on that very quickly and move forward to the next customer that can actually help you."
